The food service industry heavily utilizes single-use packaging, from the purchase of food supplies to preparation. Alternative solutions are mostly driven by early-stage companies that struggle to overcome various challenges, including lack of capital, collaborative industry partners, managerial experience, under-developed value chains, and complex policy and regulatory frameworks.

Every year, billions of single-use plastic items are used in the food and beverage industry, including straws, cups, bags, and utensils. These items end up in landfills, oceans, and waterways, where they can harm wildlife and pollute the environment. Businesses are now making a commitment to use less plastic, and some are even eliminating it altogether.

The International Accelerator Program was launched by GoMassive in association with the Incubation Network. Selected startups of this program got a chance to receive incubation and funding support.
